  1. Call to Order

    Panhandle Emergency Response System meeting began at 7:38 p.m. on July 31, 2008 at Boys Ranch.

  2. Attendees:

  3. Approval of minutes from last Meeting

    Meeting was presented by Jeff Lunsford.

    Motion made by Dale Price to accept the minutes for the last meeting.

    Motion was 2nd by Mike Pacino

    All accepted the motion.

  4. Treasurers Report
    1. PERS has $ 3,285.79 in the account
    2. No deposit has been made since the last meeting.
    3. Received the Stinnett dues for this year. They have not been deposited yet.
    4. Need to mail out the dues to the departments that have not received dues for this year.

     

  5. Drill Committee
    1. August 12th-14th the Conoco Phillips E&P drill simulation will be held.
  6. Training
    1. The 300 and 400 classes will be held in Stinnnett at the Stinnett Community building located at 8th and Main in August.
      1. The 300 class will be August 15th starting at 6pm. Saturday and Sunday August 16th -17th starting a 8 am
      2. The 400 class with be August 22nd at 6pm. Saturday and Sunday August 23rd-24th starting at 8 am.
      3. Additional classes will be held at Boys Ranch on September 15th -19th and September 22nd – 26th.

  7. Bylaws- No new information
  8. Accountability
    1. Departmental Pass Cards
      1. PRPC has everything in place for the pass cards to be made
        1. Just waiting for the format to be made and emailed out to the departments to fill in the information for each departments card.
    2. "Iamreponding.com" is a website that department can register with to assist departments with determining who is responding to the station for a call.
      1. Roger Close demonstrated the operation of the internet program.
      2. The company lets departments have a 2 or 3 month free trail.
      3. If a member of the State Fireman and Fire Marshal’s Association, department can have a 18 month free trail.
      4. After the trial period, if the department decides to keep the program a yearly fee of about $ 700 will be required. The fee is determined by the call volume and use of the program.
      5. Alan Wells made the motion for the PERS organization to set up a trial for "Imresponding.com" program.

      7. Discussed moving the secondary dispatch center to Hansford County
  9. New Business
    1. Discussed raising the organization dues from $100 to $125.
      1. The first year for new members there would not be a fee. It would be a "trial run" for the new deparments.
      2. This would allow them to see if the organization is right for their departments
      3. The agreement to be a member to the organization is they need to make 40% of the meetings in the year.
        1. Jason Vogeli made the motion to accept the new fees, terms, and agreements.

    2. Discussed recruitment of new members.
      1. Need to set up presentation and go to the area fire departments with information of the organization.
      2. Put fund raiser ideas on the backburner until other goals are accomplished.

     

     

  10. Next Meeting
    1. The next meeting will be held at ConocoPhillips Fire Station in Borger on August 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
