Lynda McClellan 1946 - 2009

Lynda McClellan, 63, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009, in Borger.

Lynda Sue (Hammett) McClellan was born Sunday, April 21, 1946, in Colorado City to James and Viola (Brown) Hammett. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Lynda was a devoted Mother, grandmother and a friend to many.

Lynda was employed by the Borger News Herald, Executive Director of the Hutchinson County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Secretary for Local Emergency Planning Committee, Secretary for Panhandle Emergency Response System and Secretary at Borger Housing Authority.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Fergerson of Taos, N.M. and Jeff McClellan and wife Selena of Borger; one daughter, Deena Arciola and husband Antonino of Catania, Cicily, Italy; one brother, Marc Damon Hammett; three sisters, Emma Turner and husband Mike of Amarillo, Carrol Turner and husband Steve of Richardson, and Jimmie Reed and husband Larry of Borger; six grandchildren, Natalie, Nicholas, Jennifer, Abby, Jake and Taylor; one great-grandson, Francesco; and ex-husband and close friend Ab McClellan.

Cremation was entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors.

The family will be conducting a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Fellowship Baptist Church.
