Once contact with DVFD is established, all further communication will be with DVFD. DVFD will now be referred to as PERS Dispatch.
When PERS Dispatch contacts the person requesting a PERS activation, a series of questions will be asked. Use Annex A and be prepared to provide the following information:

If the emergency is within the DVFD response area, then National Park Service (NPS) is the secondary PERS Dispatch. To activate secondary PERS Dispatch, use the following:
Call (806) 865-3360 extension 0 (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday)
After 5:00 p.m., call (806) 865-3325 and ask them to call Mike Bland at home or call a Ranger on duty.
Begin procedures as above, starting at 1. b.
Local PERS response is a request between departments within their immediate response area (mutual aid request).
Upon completion of assignment, ALL units must check out through Staging upon being released to return home.
When each unit responding arrives at their home base, PERS Dispatch needs to be notified of their safe return home.
As soon as possible PERS Dispatch will notify PERS Chair or Vice Chair with activation details.
When possible a PERS representative will be part of the unified command at the command post.
